A Word About Inspiration

Clear Lake

There is no  wonder the natural beauty of Clear Lake is the inspiration behind work of nature artist Leland Williams. The water is more clear than it's name implies, and the few residences are hidden, wind in the trees is as beautiful as the mirror of the lake.

Sculpture

With the inspiration of Clear Lake 
 Leland Williams began to create and
 exhibit 3 dimensional art in the
early 90's. There was no 
association with art prior to the discovery
 of an old fishing lure by his son and he.
 Intrigued by the possibility of creating one
 themselves, that afternoon saw the first
shaping of simple forms from wood. At
this time Leland displays 2 as well as 3
dimensional works. With each media the
artist's self taught style, innovative
techniques, and passionate visions blend
in very exceptional work. The work of
Leland Williams has been featured in
publications, won numerous awards, and
displayed in museum and  private collections.
